Jazz recording artist Doug Ferony has released his album “It’s Christmas.” This album features a mixture of Holiday song covers and original songs. It was recorded alongside Doug Ferony’s band, consisting of Dena DeRose, Mike Renzi, and Grady Tate. It is a jazz album that will please fans of jazz and Christmas music. Anyone who is a fan of either genre is highly encouraged to give this album a listen.

“It’s Christmas” is comprised of 11 songs: the title track “It’s Christmas,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Let It Snow,” “In A Christmas Mood,” “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Jingle Bells,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Run Rudolph Run,” “The Christmas Song,” and “Feliz Navidad.” Listeners will recognize many of these songs simply by their titles. However, Doug Ferony puts his unique twist on the songs, essentially creating an entirely new jazz song out of traditional Christmas songs. Doug Ferony’s ability to adapt so many different Christmas songs into the jazz genre proves he has a true artistic vision and the talent to execute that vision. Another highlight on the album is the title track, the original song “It’s Christmas,” written by Doug Ferony alongside his late wife, Joan. It has relatable lyrics and a classic jazz sound that all listeners of the album will likely enjoy.
